Marketplace Terms
Users must provide accurate information, use the platform lawfully, respect other users and follow listing and safety rules. Users must be at least 18 years old or use the service with a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the account.
- One person or lawful business may not impersonate another.
- Listings must accurately describe the product, service, condition, price and location.
- Fraud, harassment, manipulation of ratings and attempts to bypass safety controls are prohibited.
- Guyana Market Hub may review, restrict, suspend or remove content and accounts to protect users.
- A verified badge confirms reviewed evidence; it is not a guarantee of quality, honesty or transaction success.
Privacy
We collect only information needed to operate accounts, listings, orders, messages, reviews, safety reports and business verification. Identity, registration and location documents are private and limited to authorized verification staff.
- Public profiles may show a display or trading name, general location, listings, ratings and verification status.
- Private contact and verification information must not be published without permission.
- Information may be retained when needed for fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance or account security.
- Users should never upload passwords, PINs, card details, payment receipts or unrelated identification as listing photos.
Prohibited and restricted listings
The following may not be listed: illegal goods or services; weapons or explosives; stolen or counterfeit property; controlled drugs; unsafe medical products; human exploitation; explicit sexual services; personal data; account credentials; deceptive financial schemes; hate material; wildlife or products prohibited by law; and any item that creates a serious safety risk.
Regulated goods and services may require licences, age controls or additional review. The platform may remove a listing even when it is not named above if it appears unlawful, deceptive or unsafe.
Orders, arrangements, cancellation and refunds
Listings must clearly state whether a request is handled through the website, arranged directly with the seller or supports both. Payments are not currently processed by Guyana Market Hub.
- Buyers and sellers should agree in writing on price, delivery, condition, timing and cancellation before completing a transaction.
- Refund and cancellation responsibility remains with the seller until a platform payment or protection programme is formally introduced.
- Users should keep marketplace messages and receipts as evidence.
- Disputes may be reported for safety review, but the platform cannot guarantee recovery of money or goods from independently arranged transactions.
Safety rules
- Meet in a well-lit public place and tell someone where you are going.
- Inspect products before paying where practical.
- Never share passwords, PINs, one-time codes or full card information.
- Be cautious when asked to pay urgently, use an unfamiliar account or move the conversation away from the platform.
- Report fraud, harassment, prohibited items, non-delivery or unsafe behaviour promptly.
- For immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency authority.
Business verification
Business applicants provide registration evidence, an ID card or passport for the representative, and location evidence. Authorized staff may approve, request more information, reject, suspend or require re-verification.
Businesses must keep public details accurate and notify the platform when ownership, registration, contact information or operating location changes. Verification documents are never part of the public storefront.

For account assistance, listing concerns, privacy requests or marketplace safety reports, email support@guyanamarkethubgy.com. Include the relevant account email, listing or order reference, and a clear description of the issue. Never email passwords, PINs, one-time codes or full payment-card details.
